Continuing a pattern under the current board leadership, another significant purchase has been made without any prior input from unit owners.
The board president has ordered new pool furniture scheduled to arrive in January. Owners were not shown options, asked for feedback, or informed of the decision before the purchase was made.
As a result:
- If the color is unpopular, it cannot be changed
- If the furniture is uncomfortable, there is no recourse
- If it is not commercial-grade, premature repair or replacement may be required
This is not a hypothetical concern. A prior board president mistakenly purchased non-commercial carpeting for the hallways, which had to be replaced far earlier than expected due to excessive wear.
Because these decisions are made outside of open meetings, owners have no way of knowing whether any board members disagreed or raised concerns. Even if they did, owners are not included in the process.
The end result is simple: owners are left with permanent decisions paid for with their money, without transparency, discussion, or opportunity for input.
