Day 6 – Meeting Notices
Technically Legal, Practically Excluding Board meetings require 48 hours’ notice by law. These meetings are usually posted about 49 hours in advance. Some meetings are not published in email, only in posts on the bulletin board. What about consistency? Is this about encouraging owner participation — or simply meeting the minimum legal requirement?
Day 5 – Last-Minute Governance
Always at the Deadline Why does this board consistently act at the last legally allowed moment? Examples: This is emblematic of a Reactionary board and not a Proactive Board. Why is nothing handled earlier? Why is there construction in our lobby without any explanation or costs?
Day 4 – Financial Transparency
Where Are the 2024 Audited Financials? The 2024 audited financials have still not been provided. They are now seven months past the legal deadline. In prior years the auditor participated in a board meeting presenting the findings and answering questions. Why the delay?What information is being withheld?
