I just heard from an owner who contacted TKE directly. According to that conversation, TKE has now submitted a revised quote of $63,000 to repair the cables on two elevators — a 37% reduction from the original $100,000 estimate. This puts the quote in the same range as the other companies.
Why does the board continue with inaction, after six months of litigation and blame games, subjecting us to unnecessary risks and excessive inconvenience, when apparently a simple negotiation could resolve it all?
Even more concerning, I’ve been told by the same owner that the board is still not moving forward with the repair.
Instead, they are choosing to let residents continue dealing with only 40% elevator capacity for yet another month.
If this is unacceptable to you, take action:
- Contact the board members
- Send formal demand letters to the management office
This situation now falls squarely on the board member shoulders:

You can confirm this by asking the office for an Official Documents Request” for “Any and all quotes to repair the elevator cables. If you do receive these please send me a copy!

Okay. If the board wants to spend money on a party why not for another event that does not compete with the BKMA event in the Village Green?
