Day 8 — Construction Without a Timeline
Would You Accept This From Your Contractor? If a contractor told you they couldn’t provide: Would you accept that? Then why is it acceptable for the second floor garage elevator lobby project? We were told there is no estimated completion date due to inspections under an open permit. Is no timeline at all reasonable?
Day 6 – Meeting Notices
Technically Legal, Practically Excluding Board meetings require 48 hours’ notice by law. These meetings are usually posted about 49 hours in advance. Some meetings are not published in email, only in posts on the bulletin board. What about consistency? Is this about encouraging owner participation — or simply meeting the minimum legal requirement?
Day 5 – Last-Minute Governance
Always at the Deadline Why does this board consistently act at the last legally allowed moment? Examples: This is emblematic of a Reactionary board and not a Proactive Board. Why is nothing handled earlier? Why is there construction in our lobby without any explanation or costs?
